Black Oak Loop on Map My Ride

Length = 47 miles.
Terrain = Flat to rolling with 2 severe climbs.
Scenery = Moderate to excellent.

Black Oak Road Loop - This is probably one of the nicest rides in the area. With the exception of two leg-breaking climbs, this ride is board flat. A good portion of the ride follows the Middle Fork of the White River along the floor of a valley. Another plus - a south wind makes for a fast ride home up Hwy. 71.

From FBC, head down to Willow Avenue to State Hwy. 16. Turn left onto State Highway 16 and travel east for approximately 1 mile to the intersection of Armstrong Road. Turn right onto Armstrong Road (this road will eventually turn into Black Oak Road or CR #57). Follow this road for several miles until you come to the community of Sulphur City and the 3 way stop sign. Turn back right or west onto White House Road (CR #43). Follow White House Road south/southwest for several more miles back around to Hwy. 71 and Brentwood. At Hwy. 71 turn right or north and follow Hwy. 71 to Fayetteville travelling through West Fork and Greenland along the way.
