3+ Hours - Vaughn Loop

Length = +/- 65 miles.
Terrain = Flat to rolling.
Scenery = Moderate to good.

Vaughn Loop - A rather pleasant ride through what was once all rural farmland, this ride has been spoiled somewhat by the construction of the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport. This behemoth landmark has increased traffic somewhat on the main road leading to the airport, so beware of that obstacle. Other than the slightly heavier traffic, this ride is rather pleasant with flat to rolling terrain. Use a portion of the Wagon Wheel Road Loop and a portion of the Harmon Road Loop to get past Elm Springs on State Hwy. 112. Continue north on St. Hwy. 112 to Cave Springs. Once in Cave Springs, look for the sign directing you toward the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport and St. Hwy. 264 to the west. Turn west and follow St. Hwy. 264 for approximately 5 miles until you come to the town of Highfill. At Highfill, turn north on St. Hwy. 12 towards Vaughn. Follow St. Hwy. 12 from Highfill to Vaughn and back around to its intersection with St. Hwy. 112. Turn right or south onto Hwy. 112 and head back to Cave Springs and Fayetteville.
