1 to 2 Hours - Turkey Loop
Length = +/- 28 miles.
Terrain = Easy.
Scenery = Moderate to poor.
Turkey Loop - This is a rather easy loop on the east side of Fayetteville and Springdale. There
are a couple of climbs on the route - one short, steep climb and one longer, more gradual climb.
Mostly developed rural countryside with several aromatic poultry farms scattered along the way.
Mostly flat with a few rollers and 2 climbs.
From FBC, turn east on Maple Street and travel 2 blocks to Willow Street. Turn
left onto Willow Street and travel north 3 blocks to Prospect Street. Turn right onto Prospect Street. Travel
east approximately 4 blocks to Mission Boulevard. Turn left onto Mission Blvd. and travel approximately 1/2 mile
to the intersection of Old Wire Road and Mission Blvd. on the left. Turn left onto Old Wire Rd. Follow Old Wire
Road for approximately 2.5 miles until you come to Crossover Rd. Continue east on Old Wire Rd. across Crossover Rd.
Follow the sharp turn immediately after the intersection of Old Wire and Crossover. Follow Old Wire for another 1.5
miles and look for the Co. Rd. # 87 to turn off to the left. Follow Co. Rd # 87 for 4.5 to 5 miles until you come to
the intersection of State Highway 412. Continue north across 412 for approximately 1.5 miles until you come to
Co. Rd. # 91. Take a right turn onto Co. Rd. # 91. Follow Co. Rd. # 91 for approximately 9 miles (this is actually
the Turkey Loop) until you come back around to Co. Rd. #87. Turn left onto Co. Rd. 87 and follow these directions home.
