2 to 3 Hours - Savoy Loop

Savoy Loop on Map My Ride

Length = 38 miles.
Terrain = Easy.
Scenery = Good.

Savoy Loop - This is a relatively flat ride with only 1 climb and a few rollers along the way. A good portion of this ride follows the Illinois River through rural farmland, and should be low traffic any time of day, except for the short portion of State Hwy. 62 you have to travel from Farmington to Fayetteville.

Use the directions for the Harmon Road Loop to get to the intersection of Harmon Road and Co. Rd. # 54. Turn left onto Harmon Road (CR #31). Head south for approximately 2 miles on CR 31 until it intersects CR # 845 (a.k.a. , no lie, "U.A. Beef Farm Road"). Turn right onto CR 845 and follow this to the town of Savoy. Continue thru Savoy to State Hwy. 16. Turn right onto Hwy 16 and travel west about 0.5 miles. In a sweeping turn to the right, turn left onto CR # 37 or Viney Grove Road. Follow this road for approx.6 miles until it intersects CR # 62. Turn left or east onto CR # 62 or Bethel Blacktop Road. Travel east approximately 3 miles on CR #62 until it intersects CR #19 or Little Elm Road. Travel north approximately 1 mile to Rheas Mill Road or CR #96. Turn right onto CR #96 and travel east approx. 2 miles to the Farmington schools. Travel a few hundred yards east until you intersect US Hwy 62, and continue east 6 miles back home to Fayetteville.
